What is a Foot Orthotic?
A foot orthotic is an external device that offers support and
orthopedic correction to the structure of the foot. They
always work in conjunction with proper shoes or sneakers.
Foot orthotics are usually made from a custom mold. One of our
clinicians will take impressions of your
feet in a soft foam material. We then make and modify a custom plaster mold of each
foot. Multi-density heated foam is then vacuum formed over the molds to create the foot orthotic.
Each foot orthotic is then shaped by hand to fit each person and their foot-wear individually.
